The first week of November marks the anniversary of one of the strongest typhoons the Philippines had to go through, Typhoon Yolanda. It was a dark and scary day for our kababayans especially in Tacloban, Samar, etc. This year, as we remember the first year anniversary of Yolanda, a fun run will be held in Manila in memory of all those whose lives were taken or gravely affected that day. Takbo ng mga Kusinero at iba pang Sangay ng Turismo will benefit the livelihood uplifting program of Tacloban City.
The run is open to all with a little bit of Zumba as well to keep participants excited! Moreover, as this is “a chef’s run” or Takbo ng mga Kusino, you can expect to run along with the Chefs in your chef uniform inspired singlet.
“We, a group of Filipino Chefs together with Kitchen 911 is organizing the “Takbo ng mga Kusinero at iba pang Sangay ng Turismo “ run for a cause and Food Bazaar on November 9, 2014 at the Rajah Sulayman Park. The proceeds of this event will support the Livelihood Uplifting Program of Tacloban City.”
