My Nike Club Run 2010
by Cheryl Villareal on Dec 7th, 2010
This week has been really tiring for me. There were a bunch of things we had to get done in the preschool and a lot of Christmas activities to prepare for the 1 and a half week of school before the holiday break. That in mind, I opted not to join any fun runs this week. However, a last minute invite for the Nike Club Run was sent to me Friday night. Though I was hesitant because of my deadlines, I decided to accept the invite. Saturday night.....Read More » Tags Share Comments (0 )

Anson’s Rhythm and Run Recap
by Cheryl Villareal on Nov 14th, 2010
This morning, I was one of those runners who joined Anson's Rhythm and Run at McKinley Hill. It was my first time to run at McKinley Hill and boy was that tiring! But to sum it all up, I think it was a good clean race. There were enough drinking stations along the 5k route, not so sure though about other distances. The race also started on time, the place wasn't too crowded and the hosts (boys night out of magic 89.9) really helped get the party ...Read More » Tags Share Comments (1 )

St. Peter Life Run perfectly defines a FUN RUN
by Cheryl Villareal on Oct 25th, 2010
Last October 24, 2010, most runners I knew opted to register for the Adidas King of the Road Challenge. I on the other hand ran the St. Peter Life Run. I honestly wanted to join the King of the Road, but I just thought the price was too expensive. Imagine paying 850 pesos to run? This was just way over budget for me! It felt more as if you were paying for the singlet/the brand. Meanwhile, the St. Peter Life Run only cost 50 pesos! That's an 800 p...Read More » Tags Share Comments (4 )

Run for Knowledge: Karunungan Manila 2010
by Cheryl Villareal on Oct 21st, 2010
I am a teacher myself, I understand how important it is for children to be able to receive a proper education. Though I still think that nothing compares to being inside the actual classroom, the Knowledge Channel helps reach out to those who are unable to pay for a proper education. The Knowledge Channel has already helped several children gain the much needed skills they need through their educational and interactive lessons with the virtual te...Read More » Tags Share Comments (0 )

I was first informed of the race last August 2010. I was sure to register not only because of the fun events afterward, but also because I was invited by my brother and other runners. I thought it would be a great opportunity to meet new friends and see friendly faces. . JAZZ UP YOUR SINGLET I was already registered as early as the first week of September!
