Thousands Celebrate at the Robinson’s Fit and Fun Wellness Buddy Run
by Cheryl Villareal on Jul 6th, 2014
This morning, thousands of runners flocked to BGC with their buddies to participate in the much awaited Robinson’s Fit and Fun Wellness Buddy Run. I was among those runners who was extremely excited for this race! I first joined the Wellness Run back in 2010 and have made sure to register every year since then. Every year marked a milestone for Robinsons Supermarket, and I have to say, they outdid themselves in terms of the loot bag this year. ...Read More » Tags Share Comments (0 )

NatGeo Run 2014 Thoughts and Discussions
by Cheryl Villareal on Apr 28th, 2014
Yesterday, thousands of runners flocked to BGC for the National Geographic Run 2014. Each participant there had their own reasons for joining the run. Some joined because of the race’s prestige name, others to help fund the cause and still others just because they wanted to run. I personally joined the run for all the reasons mentioned above. I wanted to try a NatGeo race as I think I’ve only ever joined once. I also wanted to he...Read More » Tags Share Comments (0 )

Run Against Cancer Results and Discussions
by Cheryl Villareal on Apr 27th, 2013
I love running and I most especially love running for a cause. About a month ago, a friend informed me about a fun run called “Run against Cancer” which was being organized for the benefit of indigent cancer patients. I knew I couldn’t miss out on this opportunity. Amidst security jitters following the Boston Marathon bombing, Run Against Cancer charity run successfully pushed through as planned on April 20, 2013 at the Bonifac...Read More » Tags Share Comments (0 )

Moved by Runners at Tetra Pak RFR
by Cheryl Villareal on Nov 18th, 2012
After a tiring week at work, school and blogging, I was looking forward to a good ol' 10k run to reenergize me. Thing is, i didn't have enough energy to get up in the first place and missed the gun start for the 10k runners. I know you're probably thinking that it's not a big deal and i still could've run, to me however, it IS a big deal, especially since i was running alone. I wasn't confident enough to think i could catch up with the other runn...Read More » Tags Share Comments (7 )

Nocturnal Runners Gone Wild at Adobo Run After Dark 2012
by Clarissa Almeida on Oct 21st, 2012
I was really eager to be part of the Adobo Run After Dark 2012 and had my entire day set to run my first 16k at night! However, after a long and tiring day, I got into a small accident which resulted to an injury just hours before gun start. I still wanted to run and immediately put on my running shoes. Unfortunately, I couldn't bear the pain and ended up being a spectator for the night. So here's a recap of the Adobo Run After Dark 2012 from the...Read More » Tags Share Comments (0 )

For several years, I’ve watched these runners and athletes eagerly register and participate in the Men’s Health Urbanathlon. Overcoming the Obstacles at Men’s Health Urbanathlon I participated in the 10km category and even before gun star...Read More » Tags Share Comments (1 )
