Light Thursdays: Good People, Good Music, Great Stories
by Cheryl Villareal on Jul 14th, 2012
This post may be totally unrelated to my blog… but I thought to share it anyway. Last Thursday, I had one of the best experiences in a while. I laughed… I cried…but most importantly, I was moved. What was meant to be an ordinary Thursday evening turned out to be an evening of blessings, realizations and life lessons. Many of you might not know this as I rarely speak of it, but I am a firm believer o...Read More » Tags Share Comments (3 )

Meyerf Travel Pack: The Suitcase for your Medicine
by Cheryl Villareal on May 21st, 2012
As a teacher, I know how important it is to always have a first aid kit on hand in case one of my students gets into trouble. Of course, I wish to never have to use it. On the other hand, as a full time teacher, part time blogger, student, sister and friend, I know how important it is to have my top medicines nearby… especially when work starts getting the best of me. - For the longest time, I’ve been keeping my medicines in an old ca...Read More » Tags Share Comments (0 )

My Cat Enjoys His Belly Rub!
by Cheryl Villareal on Jan 16th, 2011
Have you ever tried giving your cat a belly rub? Some cats enjoy it... though some cats would take your hand and you'd never get it back! (haha) Anyway, you guys know that glove-thing we use to remove all the fur falling off from our cats? Well, I decided to try it on my cat, Chase's tummy! I'm not sure if he's enjoying it or not, but you gotta love his reaction! It's like a cat porno! hahaha Wait for it! - - Gotta love the reaction! ha...Read More » Tags Share Comments (1 )

I can’t load my phone ‘coz I’ve “exceeded the number of reloads”
by Cheryl Villareal on Jan 5th, 2011
I've been using Globe Telecom for more than 10 years as my cellphone provider. Regardless of the many benefits and outstanding services the network has, there will always be a few tweaks every now and then. One of those tweaks happened to me today. I bought a 300 peso call card from a nearby store. I've been buying call cards from them for 5 years or so. I try loading it, and after I've entered the call card number and pin, the computer oper...Read More » Tags Share Comments (0 )

A Mother’s Tale of Child Birth by Evelyn Pabelico
by Cheryl Villareal on Jan 1st, 2011
Happy New Year everyone! 2010 is over, so forget all the pains and misfortune that may have happened then... it's time to move on! For the first blog of the year, I've decided to share a blog a friend of mine wrote. She wrote this note a few months after giving birth to her 3rd child. I loved how honest she was about the difficulty, pain and most importantly, the joy of child birth. Here's to starting the year right! That we may all reme...Read More » Tags Share Comments (0 )

My Cat CHASE plays fetch
by Cheryl Villareal on Dec 27th, 2010
I thought I'd take a break from my usual tutorials today to show a quick video of my pet cat, CHASE. He loves chasing anything, hence the name. Well, a few days ago, we noticed that he kept bringing his rattle back to my room every time it goes out. It was cute how he carried it in his mouth. Then suddenly, my brother kicks the toy downstairs. I doubted Chase would still go after it... but he did! and the rest is just pure cuteness. :) - ...Read More » Tags Share Comments (0 )

Lost DSLR Reunited with Owner
by Cheryl Villareal on Sep 28th, 2010
I wasn't planning to blog about this, but since several people have been asking me what happened to the camera.... here it is! Last Tuesday, September 21, I got into a cab empty handed and walked out with a DSLR camera. It was left behind by the owner, and I decided to take it home. HOLD ON.... I decided to take it home and FIND the owner! I carefully looked through the bag and was disappointed on not finding a cellphone or any item that co...Read More » Tags Share Comments (2 )

Lost and Found DSLR!
by Cheryl Villareal on Sep 21st, 2010
So it's a Tuesday night, and I was coming from somewhere in Sta. Mesa on my way to the Blue Water Day Spa bloggers' night. I was frantically in a hurry 'coz I was running really late and I know the traffic in Makati is really bad by this time. (Around 7pm) I originally intended to stay home and rest but changed my mind at the last minute...(I think this was my "destiny" haha) . I entered the cab and told the driver where to take me. I was s...Read More » Tags Share Comments (12 )

Getting a C in Art is unacceptable!
by Cheryl Villareal on Sep 6th, 2010
Now I'm not sure how others would define art, or what other people think art is really all about. But to me, art is all about freedom of expression. What one person describes as a masterpiece may be considered horrible by others... but it's still a work of art. Coloring, drawing, painting, dancing, singing... all different kinds of art... all beautiful in its own way, regardless of style or genre. . So what does all this have to do with tea...Read More » Tags Share Comments (3 )

Cats the Musical
by Cheryl Villareal on Aug 10th, 2010
Oh my gosh! no words can explain how happy I was... or still am that I got to watch this!!! I've wanted so bad to watch it but can't due to money constraints. Just the night before, my good friend, Fil told me that he got complimentary tickets and asked if I wanted to go with him. It was really a spur of the moment.. but hey, that's CATS!!! Had to make time for that! So what if I was tired and lacked sleep? There was no way I was missing out on t...Read More » Tags Share Comments (2 )
