Learning about PATTERNS through this LION-MANE making activity

I was browsing the net looking for ideas to teach my little kids about patterns. A lot of really cool ideas came up but I didn't have much time to prepare for them. If you're a preschool teacher, then ELMER by David McKee is one story I think you should know! The story may be a little complicated for toddlers, though it may be simplified.
