Have you been waiting a while for news on another Energizer Night Race? I know I have! The last night race Energizer held back in 2011 was a lot of fun! The head lights also came in very handy and the sudden downpour of rain made the race even more exciting.

Well, guess what, they’re back, and this year, they aim to raise awareness of the world’s need for safe, clean, and affordable solar lighting. This event is also part of Energizer’s global campaign, which plays host to more than 30 race spanning 20 different countries in Asia, Africa, Europe, and North and South America.
What: Energizer Night Race Manila 2013
When: May 4, 2013 (Saturday)
Where: Bonifacio Global City (cor. 9th ave. and 34th street)
Beneficiary: One Million Lights Philippines
One Million Lights’ mission is to improve the daily lives of children and adults by providing clean and healthy lighting. Our goal is to distribute one million (1,000,000) solar lights to replace dangerous and polluting kerosene lamps.

Registration Fees: P700 and P800 respectively
*Inclusive of singlet, cap, 3-LED headlight, and neon-fabric paint pen

So far, Energizer has already given 300 solar lights to Barangay San Rafael in Rizal and are donating even more to the Mangyan communities in Mindoro and those who need it in Zambales. All in all, roughly 1000 solar lights are to be given.
