Burger Project Now Open in Taft Avenue
by Cheryl Villareal on Aug 10th, 2012
I may be a preschool teacher, but my appetite is that of a 200 pound construction worker! I love beef, steak, chicken, pork and all types of meat! And so, just like my construction worker type appetite, burgers are a definite must! Last Aug. 5, I was given to try out one of the coolest burger joints to hit Manila… The Burger Project! I went there along with my friends and co-bloggers Philippe Villareal, Ivica Say and Jason Cruz! ...Read More » Tags Share Comments (2 )

Flapjacks’ Recipe for Goodness
by Cheryl Villareal on Jul 30th, 2012
A couple of weeks ago, my friend Eli invited Philippe, Ivy and myself to join him for brunch at Flapjacks Robinson’s Place. It’s not often that I eat breakfast out so this is one of the rare moments that I truly cherish. Good people, good food, what more could I ask for? Flapjacks Restaurant Upon entering, the first thing I noticed was the huge FJ sign on the wall! It looked really cool and the color patterns were enticing! I also...Read More » Tags Share Comments (0 )

Light Thursday’s Lost and Found (Part 2): The Parable of the Prodigal Son
by Cheryl Villareal on Jul 28th, 2012
Are you familiar with the story of the Prodigal Son? This story has been shared to us several times since we were young, and I’m sure it’s been used as reference in many other scenarios. In week 2 of the LOST AND FOUND series, our preacher George Gabriel shared the story of the Prodigal Son. Though this story is so familiar to me already, I especially loved the way he shared it tonight. He tried tackling the story from a different point of vi...Read More » Tags Share Comments (2 )

Light Thursdays presents Lost and Found (part 1)
by Cheryl Villareal on Jul 27th, 2012
As I mentioned a couple of weeks ago, I started going to this “gathering” called Light Thursdays. It’s not really a worship/devotion thing, but I’d say it’s a place to find inspiration, strength and God through the words and stories of others. So last Thursday, we started part 1 of the series called “Lost and Found”. I’m pretty sure all of you have been physically lost at some point in your lives, ...Read More » Tags Share Comments (2 )

Light Thursdays: Good People, Good Music, Great Stories
by Cheryl Villareal on Jul 14th, 2012
This post may be totally unrelated to my blog… but I thought to share it anyway. Last Thursday, I had one of the best experiences in a while. I laughed… I cried…but most importantly, I was moved. What was meant to be an ordinary Thursday evening turned out to be an evening of blessings, realizations and life lessons. Many of you might not know this as I rarely speak of it, but I am a firm believer o...Read More » Tags Share Comments (3 )

Figaro Coffee Company presents its ALL DAY BREAKFAST SAMPLERS
by Cheryl Villareal on Jul 8th, 2012
Although often skipped and taken for granted, breakfast is really the MOST important meal of the day. I’ve heard this said so many times but I still ignore it sometimes. If you’re on the go or even if you were on a diet, having breakfast before beginning the day can be a LOT OF HELP. Not only does it give you more energy to start the day right, but it also keeps your stomachs full and contented for a while. When I was young, my m...Read More » Tags Share Comments (1 )

Life Just Got Sweeter with Bar Dolci
by Cheryl Villareal on Jul 7th, 2012
When out with friends, we often look for cool places to just chill and relax. Most of the time, we end up in coffee shops sipping the usual Frappuccino's and lattes. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE LOVE coffee shops, but I also love diversity! It’s fun to try something new every once in a while. That’s why I’m so happy to have discovered Bar Dolci along Burgos Circle. If you know me then you'd also know I am not a fan of...Read More » Tags Share Comments (1 )

Stage Camp Here Right Now…. and Forever After
by Cheryl Villareal on Jun 3rd, 2012
2 months ago, I had no idea where the Manansala Towers were, I had no idea who Topper Fabregas and Anthony Ong were, and most of all, I had no idea how to sing and dance. Though I still think I can’t sing and dance (haha), I can at least be proud to say that I took the challenge with 32 others at last night’s showcase of HERE RIGHT NOW…. and we did it! No matter what you say or think, we were GREAT out there! In a span of 7 wee...Read More » Tags Share Comments (0 )
