Chiropractic Massage at Intercare: Aligning your Spine
by Cheryl Villareal on Oct 18th, 2013
Everyone loves getting a massage! Massages help sooth our muscles and relieve whatever pain we may be feeling from a stressful day at work or at home. I’ve had my share of massages, each type having it’s own purpose. I personally feel however that the most effective massage I ever got was the chiropractic massage I had at Intercare. Whether it was the massage itself or the person doing the massaging… I can’t really say. All I can say is t...Read More » Tags Share Comments (1 )

It’s not everyday that we have famous NBA players grace the Philippines with their presence. Everyone, even people who weren’t fans of NBA got excited upon hearing that they were coming to the Philippines. But besides just “working”, they made sure to leave a mark. In partnership with the US Embassy and NBA, Alaska Milk Corporation held a Basketball clinic for the underserved youth last October 5, 2013 with 5-time champion and fo...Read More » Tags Share Comments (0 )

Corregidor International Half Marathon on December 8, 2013
by Cheryl Villareal on Sep 29th, 2013
They say that you haven’t actually run unless you’ve run the Corregidor International Half Marathon (CIHM). With it’s super challenging route, anyone who has completed it will surely feel indestructible. The philosopher George Santayana once stated, “Those who do not know history are condemned to repeat it.” But if history is comprised of all your winning and most memorable moments, you will most likely come back for it. On Decemb...Read More » Tags Share Comments (1 )

New Balance Power Run–10k, 16k and 25k on November 10, 2013
by Cheryl Villareal on Sep 18th, 2013
I have always looked forward to the New Balance Power Run for several reasons, my top reason however being its 25k category! I’ve ran several 21km races, and the 25k run just makes me test my endurance a tiny bit. It pushes me to go a little further without going overboard. The same goes for the 16k. Before I moved up to 21km runs, I tried joining the 16km run first. Proper training is still very important, but the feeling of accomplishment for...Read More » Tags Share Comments (0 )

Run for the Mangroves on October 19: Fun Run of the Consular Corps of the Philippines
by Cheryl Villareal on Sep 12th, 2013
Lately, I’ve been hearing a lot of fun runs or events that are organized for the benefit of the mangroves. Magroves are various types of trees and shrubs that basically grow along the coast. The Philippines is rich with them… at least we used to be. The mangrove forest in our country does not only beautify the Philippines, but it also serves as a home to many of our beloved animals. Unfortunately, according to mangroveactionproject.org, about...Read More » Tags Share Comments (0 )

by Cheryl Villareal on Aug 24th, 2013
It’s always fun to run for a cause, especially when it’s for those who need our help the most. They say we should use whatever gifts we have to help others. Well, God gave me legs to walk and run, I think I should use them. What about you? I Run For Life 2013 is a project of JCI Manila to help fund for the treatment of leukemic children under the care of the LIFE Foundation. Full treatment of leukemia is available but costs around P440,000...Read More » Tags Share Comments (1 )
