To celebrate it’s 10th year anniversary, the Philippine Coast Guard Team will be having their own RUN FOR A CAUSE this coming September 1! More details on that HERE.

And to officially launch the event, bloggers and photographers were invited aboard the Philippine Coast Guard vessel for a small and very fulfilling lunch! ….oops, I mean launch.

Anyone of you ever heard of a BOODLE FIGHT? This was a FIRST for me! I had no idea it would be anything like this! (haha) Basically, a boodle fight is a Philippine Coast Guard Tradition wherein food is prepared on top of LOOOOONG tables. Banana leaves are used as the main plate and eating is done by using our bare hands! No plates for anyone! Once the signal is given, everyone “fights” for his position and the eating battle begins!

We were so stuffed but it was really a VERY MEMORABLE EXPERIENCE! hmmm…. maybe I should do this on my next birthday party? haha
