Miles for Smiles: Running for a Difference
by Cheryl Villareal on Jul 24th, 2010
Just a few weeks ago, I was surfing the net looking for a run for this coming August. There were two fun runs that I was eying. Unsure though which I wanted to join. 2 weeks ago during the Robinson's Fit and Fun Buddy Run, I was handed a flier for the Miles for Smiles fun run. I started reading and slowly it gained my interest. I spotted a category for groups. I never tried running in a group, but this run made me want to try it! Running in a ...Read More » Tags Share Comments (3 )

John and Yoko Cosmopolitan Japanese Restaurant
by Cheryl Villareal on Jul 19th, 2010
I first tried John and Yoko several months ago... I and Philippe were on a food trip, and since I'm such a fan of Japanese food, I decided to order several dishes.. so long as they were within my budget. 2 days ago, I visited John and Yoko for the second time! I must say, I'm still as please as I first was! John and Yoko is a restaurant found on the 2nd floor of Greenbelt 5. If you didn't read the name, I bet you wouldn't even think it was a J...Read More » Tags Share Comments (5 )

Crayon resist magic
by Cheryl Villareal on Jul 17th, 2010
Young children are easily fascinated.. that's why magic always works with them regardless of how simple it may be! It becomes even more fun for them when they are able to perform that "magic" on their own. Even after they've done it, they still couldn't believe it! It often gives them a feeling of great joy and accomplishment that they were able to do such a mind-boggling task! Last week we prepared a crayon resist activity for the children. I...Read More » Tags Share Comments (4 )

Teaching animations!
by Cheryl Villareal on Jul 16th, 2010
Preschool is oftentimes a lot of fun because of our cute and curious little kids. It's always a blessing to see their faces whenever they discover something for the first time... and believe me, there's a lot of this in our class! I teach the pre-nursery level in a big school in Makati. The kids barely talk and rarely react. During the first few weeks, or even months of school, it would often feel like I was doing a one woman act! "What col...Read More » Tags Share Comments (1 )

Robinson’s Fit and Fun Buddy Run
by Cheryl Villareal on Jul 13th, 2010
Last July 11, I ran in the 3rd Fit and Fun Buddy Run sponsored by Robinsons. I was really really sleepy and actually woke up an hour after my alarm cluck rung! So I tried to take a shower in the quickest way possible and took a cab to the fort, arriving only 5minutes before gun start! haha The thing that makes the BUDDY RUN different from the others is that you have to start with your buddy and end with your buddy. My buddy being of course my ...Read More » Tags Share Comments (0 )

On the Run…
by Cheryl Villareal on Jul 11th, 2010
I started running around 1 year ago because of my fiance. His office mates run in particular events just for the fun of it. One Sunday, he invited me to join them. That Sunday, I ran 5 kilometers for more than an hour! Oh wait, let me rephrase... I ran 1 km and walked 4 km for more than an hour! ha! Here's the thing with running, you have to set goals. On my first run, I ran for more than an hour. I promised myself I'd be faster on my next run. ...Read More » Tags Share Comments (0 )
