Colored Leaf Wreath
by Cheryl Villareal on Sep 19th, 2011
Here in the Philippines, we only have 2 seasons: Summer and Rainy. But in other parts of the world, there are 4 - winter, spring, summer and fall (made you sing didn't I?) Anyway, though we don't have those seasons here, there is never anything wrong with teaching a little more. Most kids actually know all 4 seasons even more than our own because of all the cartoons and TV programs they often watch. - So though we cannot gather REAL leaves ...Read More » Tags Share Comments (0 )

Reebok Easytone Launch, FTW Magazine and MORE!
by Cheryl Villareal on Sep 18th, 2011
Everyone wants that PERFECT body. Some have time to go to the gym and work out, but others just don't have enough time. I myself have always wanted to visit the gym but I just can't find the time to do so. Running has been the perfect exercise for me, but I only have time to run 5-10km at least twice a week. If only there was a way to work out while in the office or on the go.... - Well, who says there isn't? - Last Sept. 15, Reebok l...Read More » Tags Share Comments (1 )

Inauguration of PCF Technical College – The first CONTAINER-VAN school in the world!
by Cheryl Villareal on Sep 13th, 2011
Around 2 weeks ago, I was invited to visit a school located in what used to be the famous SMOKEY MOUNTAINS of Tondo. The term does not refer to a beautiful landscape as that depicted in other countries, instead, the name was given because of the smoking mountains of garbage found in the area. This place has recently been rehabilitated and is hopefully on its way to becoming a more livable place for people. - I was hesitant at first, given i...Read More » Tags Share Comments (1 )

We say Garbage, They say HOME.
by Cheryl Villareal on Sep 6th, 2011
I've been staring down this blank page for a while, trying to come up with words to write about a previous event I attended that was held in a poverty stricken area here in the Philippines. I've typed several words only to end up deleting it because I couldn't fully express what I wanted to say. So I decided to write a new post first, and get these feelings out of my chest. - Last week, I attended the inauguration of a school in Tondo. Seei...Read More » Tags Share Comments (1 )

Experimenting with Puffy Ice Cream
by Cheryl Villareal on Sep 4th, 2011
So last year, I saw this amazing art activity from Deborah of TeachPreschool.org, and had to try it right away! We did almost the exact thing that Deborah showed in her tutorial and it turned out to be a huge success. Not only did the kids love how it felt, but they also enjoyed the unique experience in making these shaving cream ice creams! Some of them even tried to eat it! Lucky we caught them in time! - This year, I have a new batch of ...Read More » Tags Share Comments (1 )

A Letter of Apology from the ADBR Group
by Cheryl Villareal on Aug 30th, 2011
Mistakes are common. Everyone makes them. Regardless of how big or small the mistake, what makes you a man is the ability to accept these mistake and apologize for them. Many people REFUSE to admit mistake and instead argue, but the Ateneo Blue Diamond Race organizer accepted the mistakes made. In their defense though, several of these mistakes were not their fault. Had it not been for the bad weather, it might have turned out differently. &nb...Read More » Tags Share Comments (0 )

My Results and Experience at the Ateneo Blue Diamond Race
by Cheryl Villareal on Aug 29th, 2011
Sometime last June, I heard about the Ateneo Blue Diamond Race. I didn't bother registering though 'coz it was still dated at the end of August and I was still waiting to see what other races would be held on the same date. However, sometime last July, a friend of mine insisted BADLY that we register for this run. She is not from Ateneo but is a HUGE fan of the school. She begged us to register and run with her on that date. So regardless of my b...Read More » Tags Share Comments (1 )
