Soleus Sports Watch: “Giving Runners Everything We Need and Nothing We Don’t!”
by Cheryl Villareal on Dec 5th, 2011
First and foremost, what does Soleus mean? I've heard the term, and I've even seen their team in several fun runs throughout the year, but I've never really thought about the meaning of the word. To me, Soleus was simply a sports watch. Well, for those of you who didn't know, the word soleus is actually a muscle in our body. It is a powerful muscle in the back part of the lower leg (or calf) and runs just below the knee all the way ...Read More » Tags Share Comments (0 )

Perfect The Way We Are…
by Cheryl Villareal on Dec 3rd, 2011
For the past few days, I’ve been listening to the song PERFECT by Pink. I especially love the rendition of YouTube sensations Cathy Nguyen and Jason Chen. I’ve been trying to write a blog about a previous event I’ve been to, but I keep getting distracted listening and singing (on my own) to this song! Before anything else, let me share the video of the song… - Made a wrong turn, once or twice… dug m...Read More » Tags Share Comments (0 )

My New Diadora Mythos Samurai III
by Cheryl Villareal on Dec 1st, 2011
After a tiring day at work, I came home to find something sitting on my bed. At a distance, it looked like a regular box. I knew my brother Vince was giving me a pair of shoes, but I had no idea what kind. I had no idea it would be a pair of Diadora Mythos Samurai III running shoes! Nice! - Diadora is an Italian athletic footwear and apparel manufacturer that began way back in 1948. They are more popular for their line of soccer shoes rathe...Read More » Tags Share Comments (1 )

Eric Carle Collage in Brown Bear Brown Bear
by Cheryl Villareal on Nov 27th, 2011
The kids have always loved BROWN BEAR, they love learning the different colors while also seeing the pictures of different animals! Moreover, they enjoy singing the song while looking at the pictures. This time, we wanted to try and make collages. So we had them pick which color they wanted and we mixed 2 other complimenting colors with it. So if they picked green, we’d give them GREEN, YELLOW and WHITE. If they picked PU...Read More » Tags Share Comments (2 )

The 3rd Quezon City International Marathon
by Cheryl Villareal on Nov 26th, 2011
The Quezon City International Marathon started out back in 2009 and quickly worked it's way to the top. I heard about it in the past 2 years but have yet to try running her due to the unavoidable conflicts in my schedule. This year however, I think I'm going to break the ice. Not running a full marathon yet, but will at least experience running in the QCIM for the first time. Who knows, I might run my first marathon here in the future... after al...Read More » Tags Share Comments (1 )

Eric Carle may not be famous in the world of fine arts, but his very famous in the world of preschool children and teachers! For most of us, not only do we love his art and all his book, but we love also all the books in which he did the illustration. Picasso’s Cubism Became A Mix and Match of Faces
by Cheryl Villareal on Nov 20th, 2011
While learning about the different parts of our body and our different senses, we decided to let the kids create a puzzle with their own faces. Since we were also on the topic of fine art, we tried to copy Picasso's cubism. It has a similar idea but not entirely right. Eventually, the idea evolved and we ended up cutting pictures from magazine and had the kids make a distorted image of themselves. We got mixed reactions for this activity. Some ki...Read More » Tags Share Comments (0 )

Jewelmer Opening in Resorts World Philippines
by Cheryl Villareal on Nov 17th, 2011
They say jewelry is the way to a woman's heart. I never agreed with that until I saw JEWELMER. Jewelmer is a French Filipino company specializing in South Sea pearls. But what does that have to do with teaching or running? Well honestly... NOTHING. It just so happened that I went to the opening of a jewelry shop in resorts world 2 weeks ago, and though I'm not a girly-girl type of person, my jaw dropped after seeing all these beautif...Read More » Tags Share Comments (0 )
