This is an activity I found on another blog site once again. I unfortunately saw it a long time ago and no longer remember what site it was! Send a reply if you think this came from your site and I would gladly acknowledge you.

Children usually enjoy pretend play. Younger children still find it difficult but they still enjoy the funny games and cute toys used. Since we were learning all about our noses, we decided to let them try making their own finger puppets with “movable” noses themselves! It’s really easy to prepare though not having a 1-hole punch big enough was difficult!

.

What you need:

  • Elephant/Pig pattern (I just drew my own)
  • Scissors
  • Cardboard Paper
  • Permanent Maker
  • Paint
  • Googly Eyes

.

Step 1: Draw the pattern on some cardboard paper and cut it out

.

Step 2: Let the kids paint the animal with their desired color (In my case, the paint was too think and completely covered the prior lines, so I just drew over the paint again with permanent marker)

.

Step 3: Glue on the googly eyes

.

Step 4:Let the kids insert their finger (Pointer for the elephant and thumb for the pig) and enjoy! They can even paint over their finger for the added fun!
